Volunteer Board Members Wanted for Red Nose Remedy Non-Profit


Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the community? Are you enthusiastic about joining a dynamic team dedicated to spreading joy? Red Nose Remedy, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing joy and laughter to those in need, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors on a volunteer basis.


About Red Nose Remedy:

Red Nose Remedy is a not-for-profit organization that provides therapeutic clowning to people accessing health care or community services in Ontario, Our clowns bring laughter, lightness, and joy, treating all with compassion and respect.


Roles and Responsibilities:

As a volunteer Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of Red Nose Remedy. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with fellow Board Members and staff to set organizational goals and strategies.

  • Participating in fundraising efforts to support our initiatives.

  • Contributing your skills and expertise to enhance the impact of our programs.

  • Advocating for Red Nose Remedy and fostering partnerships through your connections.

Board meetings are generally held bi-monthly on a weeknight through a virtual platform. There are also various Board committees which meet regularly and Board Members are expected to serve on at least one committee.


Qualifications:
We are looking for individuals with a passion for our cause and a commitment to making a difference. We strongly encourage applications from people with experience in one or more of the following:
  • Board Governance

  • Business Leadership

  • Law

  • Fundraising and Advocacy

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

  • Community Engagement

If you are located in Ontario and are willing to donate between 1 - 6 hours each month to make a difference in the lives of people accessing health care or community services, please submit your resume and a brief statement of interest to programs@rednoseremedy.ca by February 22, 2024.
